An Indian trader expressed that they were prone to carborundum material because they can’t accept the high price of section sand and grain size sand. The personnel got that the price of 97#0-25mm carborundum by Chinese supplier is USD 11,300/ton to Mumbai and the goods were delivered at the end of April and the beginning of May. “The demand of Indian abrasive tool market on abrasive increased, and some medium and small abrasive tool manufacturers began to produce, and the import volume is 2,007-3,005 ton/month now”, said he.Another market participant was optimistic in the first quarter of the new fiscal year. He said, “We have received more orders and enquiries, so the import of this month and next month will increase stably”.Although the demand increases, the Indian consumers still considered the price is too high. He determined the target price of carborundum grain size sand delivered in May as USD 13,507/ton FOB China port.
